Signature Cruise Experiences Recommends Arriving in Vancouver the Day BEFORE Embarkation

Signature Cruise Experiences highly recommends that guests arrive in Vancouver the day before embarkation in order to alleviate stress from any potential travel delays or issues. Vancouver is a larger metropolitan area than our standard embark cities, which may mean higher price points for accommodations, so securing a hotel reservation as soon as possible is strongly encouraged.  

Selecting a Hotel

With so many different options of hotel properties in the Vancouver area to choose from, if our guests act soon, they should have opportunities to select a hotel in whatever location or price range they desire. For those unfamiliar with the hotels in the area, Signature Cruise Experiences has compiled a list of potential hotels along with a direct link to each reservation procedure. Going to the reservation link is the only way to determine both price and availability for each hotel. For the most accurate rates, be sure to select USD pricing where applicable.

Ground Transportation to the Pier on Embarkation Day

The Canada Place Terminal is located in downtown Vancouver and most of the suggested hotels are located within easy walking distance of the pier, or a short taxi/ride share trip away.

Hotels near the Vancouver International Airport may be priced slightly lower than those located downtown. Several of these properties may offer a free airport shuttle service and/or shuttle to the cruise port terminal on embarkation day (guests should contact hotels directly to confirm provided options.)

Alternatively, you may take Metro Vancouver’s public transit system, Translink. Canada Place is easily accessible from Waterfront Station via the SkyTrain, SeaBus and the Westcoast Express.
