Sequoia Grove Estate Winery

Your day begins with a scenic drive from San Francisco to Rutherford in the heart of Napa Valley. For your hosted wine tasting experience, you visit the incredible 24-acre Sequoia Grove Estate Vineyard, where the superb climate and gravelly loam soils impart a distinct flavor in their Bordeaux-styled varietals.
On your tour of the property, you visit the 19th century restored barn where it all started and enjoy the serenity amidst the circular grove of redwoods on the property. You will learn their selfless vision of farming for the future through sustainable farming practices, evident in their elegant whites, rosé and red wines. They are highly regarded for their Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc wines. Your tasting experience featuring a flight of five Cabernet varietal wines, paired with small artisanal bites procured by the winery chef. Setting is under the shade of the estate gardens.
About Sequoia Grove
Our present-day winery and its 24-acre estate vineyard were part of the original Rancho Caymus land grant given in 1836 to George Yount, the area’s first European-American pioneer. Over the years, the property changed hands until it was purchased in 1978 by James and Barbara Allen. The following year, the duo opened a winery in a 100-year-old barn beneath a grove of Sequoia trees, and so Sequoia Grove was born.

Next stop on your Napa Valley wine tour takes you into the Oakville AVA, a sub-appellation known for its warm climate on the valley floor, which is well suited to wine production and home to many exceptional vineyards. One of which is the veritable B Cellars. Your private experience starts with the team greeting you with a welcome splash of their estate grown wine, followed by a guided tour of the wine estate, production facility and culinary gardens.
After a tour of the property, you will be seated in the Grand Salon, B Cellars’ unique wine cave offering a dramatic setting for a rare experience featuring B Cellar wines paired with a three-course lunch prepared by the estate chef.
