Ron Carter
The legendary bassist Ron Carter will perform with his all-star quartet featuring pianist Renee Rosnes, saxophonist Jimmy Greene and drummer Payton Crossley. Although Renee and Jimmy have sailed with The Jazz Cruise many times, the maestro and NEA Jazz Master himself has never performed on one of our programs. Besides being a vital part of one of the greatest jazz groups in history (the Miles Davis Quintet), Ron is in the Guiness Book of World Records as the most recorded bassist in jazz history with more than 2,000 recordings to his credit.
Prior to the show (doors open at 11:30AM), guests are welcome to explore the facility, take a quick tour, or join us in a private Open Bar area with drinks and light snacks/canapes reserved just for Jazz Cruises’ guests!
